BB Cream Review

First thing first, what is BB Cream?
BB Cream stands for Blemish Balm Cream, so it help to cover any blemishes that you have.
BB Cream is very popular in Asia, and Korea is the one who started this phenomenal.
If you look the pictures or movie or music video of Korean artists, they skin is look so flawless, not too made up but still have this pretty coverage on their face.  Many people were asking, and bam! BB cream fever is on.
"Some are said to have skin whitening or brightening properties. Others are anti-acne, some are anti-wrinkle, some are intended to even out skin tone, and yet others to lighten blemish scars." - Wikipedia.  Yes it's true, there are different purposes of BB Cream.  one of mine is for veil blemishes.
It can be use on daily basis, because the formula is not too heavy like foundation.

I have two bb creams that still available to use, so I want to post a review of these two.
First one is Quick & Clean Oil Free Blemish Balm from The FaceShop.  I bought this with others Quick & Clean products like the toner and the serum, and my cousin said her friend use this BB cream for acne skin, so she recommended this one for me.

The description of the product says "A protective moisturizer that shootes and naturally veils blemishes.  Formulated with our enhanced Quick'n Clear Complex and Malt extract, this oil-free protective moisturizer soothes the skin while providing natural coverage to hide flaws."

I love how it feels on my skin, because you know, when you put a liquid or creamy thing on your face, sometimes it gives you a wet or sticky feeling, but this BB Cream is not doing that.
It also stays long, I wore it all day, and it did a good job.  One more thing, the oil-free label is proven. :)

The only minor problem with this BB Cream is it has a greyish color, so maybe for some people it will look weird, but my skin face color is kinda pale, so I don't have a huge problem with it.

FYI, I usually just apply BB Cream on my face, not adding any powder, because I don't want my face look too cakey. BUT, if the sun is very mean outside, I just apply a little of powder on my T-Zone.

The second one is Precious Mineral BB Cream All Day Strong from Etude House.
I looked the back of this BB Cream, and the description is written in Korean (hangul), well well, let's use google translator.

Basicly, the description said about :
- All Day Strong, which is true.  :)
- Clean and immaculate skin throughout the day.  The coverage is light to medium, good enough but if you have an acne scars like me, it doesn't give a perfect coverage, which is normal because hey, this is a bb cream, not a foundation. :p
- Mineral BB Cream
- Oil Free
- Petrolatum Free.  I read some of articles about Petrolatum, one of them says " Petrolatum is used in the formulation of a variety of product types, including bath products, cleansing products, skin care products, makeup, shampoos, permanent waves, hair conditioners, shaving products, and suntan product." but the other article says it's dangerous to use a product that has a petrolatum in it.
My opinion?  Petrolatum free is better.
- Ethanol Free, which is GOOD.  From wikipedia : "Best known as the type of alcohol found in alcoholic beverages, it is also used in thermometers, as a solvent, and as a fuel. In common usage, it is often referred to simply as alcohol or spirits.  I bet no one would like to have this ingredient on their face.
- Paraben Free. Parabens are a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.  But nowadays, companies search for paraben free alternatives.

Oh, and the coverage is kinda same with Quick'n Clear BB Cream, light to medium.

The Precious Mineral BB Cream has SPF30, which is good for me and my fellow friends in Indonesia.  The sun is sometimes act like a "witch", so mean.

Swatches : Quick'n Clear BB Cream & Precious Mineral BB Cream
As you can see, the Quick'n Clear BB Cream is in grayish color, and the Precious Mineral BB Cream is more yellow.  Like I said before, I loooove the feel of Quick'n Clear BB Cream on my face, but on the other hand, Precious Mineral BB Cream give my face "more" color.
Bottom line : I like them both.

So, which one do you like?
If you have your own favourite BB Cream, let me know. :)

Lancôme Tendre Voyage

I just realized 5 minutes before make this post, that this palette is limited edition! haha.
I was browsing, want to see opinion about this palette, and tadaa... limited edition is write all over the page I opened.
So, this is the first time I own a limited edition product, I guess...

I bought this two months ago, in Changi Airport. The price was SG$ 49,70.
My dad said "Go buy something that you like, I'll buy it for you as birthday present."
And I was like crazy moving around seeing and picking things that I like.  This is one of them. :)

First of all, when you look at it, it's like a really perfect pallete to travel.  (yeah I know this is travel palette, I can't help myself :p). It's not big, pretty thin, will fit well in your bag or your medium size clutch.
It have 4 gorgeous eyeshadows (I LOVE ALL COLORS), 1 powder blush, 1 lipstick and 1 cream lipgloss (?)
The lipgloss has glitters in it, so I just apply a little amount.
Bottom line : every single color in this palette is usable for daily basis or for special ocassion.
Love it to death. Period.

Makeup Haul

Hi guys! :)
I bought some products this week, and I want to share my opinion to all of you.
So, let's start....

Last week I posted on my twitter about sale in Mall Taman Anggrek, and these are the items that I bought :

Revlon Colorstay Aqua Mineral Makeup
I have a pale skin, so the lady at the counter said "Light Pale" is the best match for my skin color.  I also have a dry skin, so I asked her if this product is good for dry skin, and she said this is the best for dry skin.  The amazing thing is, it looks totally like a regular loose face powder, but when you apply it on your face, it gives a little bit wet and cold feeling.  I was like wow when I tried it. lol.  It won't give you a cacky look, but make sure to apply moisturizer first.  It has shimmer in it, the shimmer is very obvious when I put it on back of my hand, but when I applied it all over on my face, it's okay, the shimmer is not visible, my face didn't look like a disco ball. This product also comes with brush, and I love the brush, it's soft, pretty dense, conclusion : USEFUL. :)
Do I like it?  Yes, I do.
Will I re-purchase it?  Maybe.  I want to try the Revlon PhotoReady first... :p

Revlon ColorStay Aqua in Light Pale

Revlon ColorStay Mineral Moose
I asked the lady at the counter for concealer, she said Revlon doesn't have concealer anymore.  I don't know for international store, but in my country Indonesia, no Revlon's concealer at all. too bad. :(
Then she said this mineral moose could be use as concealer too.  She picked the color, and I blame myself WHY I didn't take a deep look to that color.  As you can see in the photo below, it's WAY too dark for my skin.  And fyi, my skin face color is lighter than back of my hand color. :(
I tried this for makeup base, and put loose powder over it, it gives me cacky look.  Maybe it'll look good for you who has oily skin? Maybe...

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick
Actually, my mom bought this lipstick, but she said she already have a lot of this kind of color, so she gave me, and I accepted with smile.  hehe, thank you mom! <3
It's kinda dark color, and honestly I usually go with soft color on my lips, this is the first time for me go with this type of color :p
and you know, it's pretty good.  hahaha.  I've read good reviews of this line, and it's true.  :)

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in 035 Blush

NYX Mosaic Powder
I was looked for a pink color actually, but the lady at the counter said this color will look good on my skin tone. So, I ended up buying this one, MPB 10 Love, it's totally fine because I didn't have this type of color of powder blush at home.  This mosaic powder have different colors in one.  Coral, orange, brown.  This one is also shimmery and if you have a pale skin color like me, you just need to dab a little because the color is very "strong".  The down side of this mosaic powder is it's TOO powdery, lots of fall out.
Do I like it?  So-so.
Will I re-purchase it? Yes, but I'll try another color.

One more thing from NYX.
NYX 5 Color Shadow The Caribbean Collection
I chosed this type of color because I like natural colors, hahaha.  I LOVE EVERY SINGLE COLOR in this squad.  I adore the second color (from left).  4 colors have shimmer in it, the only matte olor is the highlight color (second from right). These eyeshadows are well pigmented.
Definitely will play with this squad till I get bored.  :))
Do I like it? YES!!!
Will I re-purchase it? Yes, but again, will try different color. :)

For concealer, I ended up buying Bourjois.  I looked for Maybelline Fit Me or Maybelline Age Rewind, why? Because I read and watch reviews of those.  Unfortunately, those products are not available in Indonesia.  *deep sigh*
and for this Bourjois' Concealer, it's okay, but it doesn't wow me.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer
I ran out of mascara, my previous mascara is already dried out.  So I decided to try Oriflame new Mascara.  It has a unique design, you can pull it out twice.
as you can see at the top photo, it will make your lashes thicker, and if you pull it out once again (bottom photo), it will make your lashes longer.  So it depends on what kind of lashes' look that you want, thicker or longer? or both? :)
2FX Mascara Oriflame Beauty

And yesterday, I bought these Revlon's products (again). I don't know, but I feel like I want to know more about this brand. lol.
I bought these in Centro, Mall of Indonesia.  Yesterday, they had a bonus if you purchase over IDR 200,000.  The bonus is Revlon Touch & Glow Extra Moisturizing Face Powder.  And I couldn't miss it, duhh~ there were an extra product free!  Typical.  lol

Revlon Wet/Dry Shadow
It doesn't show up pretty good on my photo (sorry), but these colors are pretty!! I LOVE IT!
The pink is very pretty and the gray is the perfect match, you can do a semi-soft-smokey eye from these colors. I don't know if "semi-soft-smokey" make sense.  Sorry. :p
Revlon Wet/Dry Shadow in Thunder & Light

Revlon Powder Blush
I pick two colors, the light brown is for shading and I pick the nude pink one too,
I tried to swatch it on my hand, but the color didn't come out pretty strong, so I decided not to put the photo in this post, you wouldn't see anything anyway.
It has only a little bit of shimmer, which is I like.
I tried these blush today, it was good, all you have to do is to dap in it a little more.
these are the opposite of NYX blush,  hahaha.

Revlon Powder Blush in 07 Naturally Nude (left) and 13 Love That Pink (right)

Lastly (fiuh), this is the bonus product.
Revlon Touch & Glow Extra Moisturizing Face Powder.  From its name, it has "moisturizing", and I think I'll like this face powder, typical of dry skin person. :p
The only thing that bother me is the scent, not a bad scent but still it's pretty strong for my nose :p
It would be great for me if it didn't have strong scent.

Revlon Touch & Glow Extra Moisturising Face Powder in Tawny Beige 70

That's all about it!
hope you find this post is helpful for you. :)

My "Mini" NYX Package

My "mini" NYX package has finally arrived!  I was so excited when I opened it, haha.  I ordered mostly lip products; two lipsticks, two lipglosses, 1 loose powder eyeshadow, 1eyeshadow brush, 1 NYX jumbo eye pencil (this is for my mom).

Okay, so let's start! :)

For lipsticks, I picked one in "Stella", and one in "Iris".
I love the color actually, but the problem on my lips is the lipstick doesn't stay long, maybe because I have dry lips?  It only took two hours and I need to re-apply it.  I'll try to put lipgloss over it so maybe it will last longer.
Update : The Iris one is like melting for no reason, the first time when I used it, it did show sign about it, but I think it's because I put too much energy when applying it. lol. turned out, it DOES not have a good texture like the other one.

Left photo : Stella & Iris
Right photo : Swatches of Stella & Iris

For lipglosses, I picked one in "Sorbet" from Round Lipgloss Collection.  I like it.  I've tried it earlier this day, it stays longer than the lipsticks I bought, probably 4-5 hours, and the color is good.  I don't have problem with the sparkle and glitter in it, not too much, so it's okay for my taste. :)
The other one is in "Beige" from Mega Shine Lipgloss Collection.  Still in pink color, but darker than Sorbet. This lipgloss has a cream finish on lips.  I LOVE THIS TO DEATH.  Will re-purchase it for sure. Pretty! <3

Left : Sorbet
Right : Beige

And I got one Sheer Gloss in "Breeze", this is the bonus from the online shop, haha.
thank you. :)

Swatches (left to right) : Sorbet, Beige, Breeze

I picked Ultra Pearl Mania in "Mocha Pearl".  This is the first time I buy loosepowder eyeshadow. For the color, I love it! But, I have to say, I'm not a big fan of this, because it obviously has tons of fall out.

I also picked MB08 Eye Angle Brush, pretty soft when I touched it, but when it comes to your eyes, it doesn't feel that soft.  So, I'm kind of dissapointed with this brush.

Lastly, for NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil, I picked "Cream Cheese", this would be good looking for inner corner of our eyes.  The color is pretty, but it does smudge easily. :(

So that's pretty much about my mini NYX package. :)

Sariayu Excotic Indonesia

First blog post is dedicated to local brand from my country, Indonesia. :)

Lucky enough, I had a chance to swatch all eyeshadows and liquid lip color from tester kit of Sariayu Martha Tilaar.  This year, Sariayu's theme is "Exotic Indonesia TheColors of Asia".

For 2011, there are four mini pallete eyeshadows, each have three different eyeshadow colors.

Okay, let's see the swatches on my hand.  (btw, I didn't use an eye primer, and most of them came out pretty good).

Petikan Sitar

Alun Serunai

Dendang Rebana

Denting Kecapi

If I had to use all three colours of one pallete, I'll go with Petikan Sitar (play safe :p),then my second choice would be Denting Kecapi.  I think the rest are very bold and have bright color that I'm not gonna use (yellow and green), but after seeing many variations that I could have by using others, hmm... Maybe I should try using those bright bold beautiful colors.

For liquid lip color, they have same name with the eyeshadows quad.

One pair have liquid lip color and a lipgloss.

Petikan Sitar has red color, Alun Serunai has coral orange color, Dendang Rebana has brown which is a little too dark in my opinion (actually, it depends on your lip color),and Denting Kecapi has medium pink color (not too dark but also not too light, you'll see the swatches anyway :D).

left - right (liquid lip color & lipgloss):
Petikan Setar, Alun Serunai, Dendang Rebana, Denting Kecapi

so, that's all about it.  Hope these swatches help you guys to pick which one is your favourite item, OR you want to buy all collection.  Haha.
